Israel
Moskovits Director/Writer/Composer, "Daniel
Schneider"
Israel Moskovits was born and raised in Chicago,
Illinois. At an early age he developed an interest in the arts, teaching himself
piano at age six. His creative writing output includes two novels, thirty short
stories and over two hundred poems. An actor at heart, he played lead roles in
community theatre productions of I Hate Hamlet, The Imaginary Invalid,
Dracula, The Odd Couple, and
Fools. He later turned to filmmaking, acting in student films and creating
short features with local talent. His first feature length film,
Rescuing Jane, was presented at the Northeastern Illinois University 13th
Annual Research and Creative Activities Symposium as a philosophical analysis
into the normativity of reality. Narrow Bridge represents his first
feature length narrative with a large ensemble cast. Israel Moskovits
graduated with Honors from Northeastern with a degree in Philosophy and is
currently attending law school at Loyola University Chicago. When he isn't
listening to classical music or weightlifting, you'll find him sipping Cabernet,
watching an episode of The Simpsons, or telling a lawyer joke.
Samantha Leshin "Rachel Goldstein"
Samantha Leshin is currently attending the
University of Illinois at Chicago, majoring in Applied Psychology with a minor
in French. Since learning to read at age three, Samantha has developed a sense
of empathy and depth for the characters she becomes. Her acting career began
during her senior year at Lincoln Way East High School playing the role of Rita
in The Butler Did It, The Serving Wench in The Madrigals and a
singing and dancing role in Anything Goes. Samantha enjoys writing and
reading in her free time. She hopes to work professionally in a clinical
psychology setting, indulging in her love of acting on the side. She is active
at the Hillel organization on campus where she first met Israel Moskovits and
the first scenes of Narrow Bridge were shot. She also has a passion for
chocolate and Italian ice.

Elliot Bernstein "Joel Horowitz"
Elliot, a veteran of the stage, has been acting
for the better part of his college career. As part of the Rutgers
University Hillel Theater Company he played the roles of Jacob, Potiphar and Dan
in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Mr. Gibbs in
Arsenic and Old Lace. He was also slated to perform in The Odd Couple
before a lack of funding forced the show's cancellation. In addition to
theater, Elliot has performed in the Rutgers University Jewish a cappella group
Kol Halayla as well as singing with the Camp Nesher choir. He
collaborated with Israel Moskovits on several short films prior to
Narrow Bridge.
Moshe Pomerantz "Rabbi Kaufmann" , Equipment
Crewperson
Moshe Pomerantz co-starred with Israel Moskovits in community theatre
productions of Moliere's The Imaginary Invalid and I Hate Hamlet
as well as starring in Israel Moskovits' short film, Two Bad People prior
to his role in Narrow Bridge.

Mendel Moskovits "Young Daniel Schneider"
Though scarcely a teenager, Mendel has assembled
an impressive array of diverse skills and talents. An avid break-dancer,
gymnast, and Harry Potter aficionado, when he isn't penning his first fantasy
novel titled, 'Fable' you can find him devastating an opponent in a round
of Halo 2 or feeding his two Siamese Fighting fish, named Epona and Lily.

Pearyl Basha "Mrs. Schneider"
Despite being a mother of seven, Pearyl has found
the time to pursue a prolific career in art. A graduate of the Art Institute of
Chicago, she has been painting for over thirty-five years, creating over forty
acclaimed works over a variety of media. In 1996, a design of hers won an
honorable mention in the 1996 Spertus Museum Seder Plate Competition. She
currently spends her days designing elaborate murals for the walls of new
buildings.
Chaya Moskovits "Shaina Schneider"
Chaya Moskovits appeared in Israel Moskovits' first film, Rescuing Jane,
performing the titular role. In addition, she played the role of Grandpa George
in a high school production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. In her
spare time, she takes up drawing, violin, and photography. Some of her recent
photo work includes the poster image for
Narrow Bridge. An avid singer, she performs duets with the music of Whitney
Houston on her iPod and performed live, singing and dancing at the Erev Shira
concert in elementary school. She is a vegan and hopes to be a
lawyer/concert violinist someday.
John
Casey "Dr. Glassman"
John Casey has the distinction of being a Philosophy professor in real life and
playing one on film. He teaches at Northeastern Illinois University, where
Israel Moskovits was one of his students. You can find him there bringing
Philosophy to life, illustrating moral dilemmas using episodes of The
Simpsons
and hurling chalk at the wall. (No, we're not kidding.)
Julia Kvashnyk "Cafeteria Student"
Julia was born in Evpatoria, Ukraine, coming to the United States at the age of
fifteen. In addition to English, she speaks Russian, Ukrainian, Polish and
Spanish. She enjoys catching a basketball game or wrestling match on TV every
now and then and can play a mean round of the Russian card game, Durak. When she
grows up, she wants to be a dentist.
Akiva Gavriel Creative Advisor
A woodworker by trade, Jak
Gavriel's first foray into drama was acting in productions at the Goodman
Theatre and Victory Gardens Studio. He made his own directorial film debut
with
The Legacy Jig, a short narrative that won the Audience Award for Best
Picture at The Big Screen 2000 in Chicago Illinois. It also played
and received mention in other national and international festivals whose themes
were to portray the complexity of the human condition with dignity and the
positive values of life with respect. He has written a speculative feature
script,
Judah Was Here and is currently working on another, The Amazing
Adventures of Dariush.
Yehudit Weinberger "Classmate", Music Co-Composer
Originally from Buffalo Grove, Illinois, Yehudit
has a degree from Northeastern Illinois University in Clarinet Performance and Linguistics. She is currently
in Israel studying at Neve Yerushalayim Seminary and enjoys puns. As part of an
assignment for a songwriting class, she composed a song titled Remember Me.
Variations of the tune were used in the Narrow Bridge musical score.
Nikola Ranguelov "Classmate", Equipment Crewperson
Nikola was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. His first
encounters with computers at the age of 6 sparked his passion for technology
which persists to this very day. He speaks Bulgarian, Russian, German and
Japanese and hopes to be the next 007 agent someday, or at the very least spend
some time living in Japan. He took an Introductory Video Production course at
Northeastern Illinois University and discovered a passion for video production
work. He is currently a senior at Northeastern anticipating graduation in 2008
with a major in Communications and minors in Computer Science and Media.
Dan Milsky "Father in Park", Creative Consultant
Dan Milsky is an Associate Professor of
Philosophy at Northeastern Illinois University where he taught Israel Moskovits.
Amanda Wowk "Community Member"
Amanda Wowk is a student at the University of
Illinois at Chicago. She plans to pursue two degrees, one in political science
and one in the German language. She was raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Tokyo,
Japan, and Newport, Rhode Island.
Yelena Litvinsky "Community Member"
Coming to the United States from Kiev at two years old, Yelena boasts a diverse
range of interests. A pre-pharmacy and Classical Civilization major at
University of Illinois at Chicago, she likes poetry, good books, Latin, reading,
and spending time with her boyfriend.
Nora Leval "Classmate"
Nora has been acting and singing since she could
walk. She is featured in a prominent extra role in the new Batman film, The
Dark Knight.
Vicki Polin Research Resources
Vicki Polin is the founder and executive director
of The Awareness Center. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
in the state of Illinois and is a Board Certified Art Therapist. She has an
undergraduate degree in Women's Studies from Roosevelt University, and a Masters
Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Vicki also attended Neve
Yerushalayim School of General Jewish Studies, Jerusalem, Israel and The Etz
Chaim Center For Jewish Learning, Baltimore, MD.
